Hey there, great to have you onboard!

This is a pretty basic guide for getting to know the three most important parts of the platform. Once you’ve read this guide, it’s only a matter of time before you’ll enrich emails like the wind.

All set? Ok, let’s go over the steps, hand in hand.

First of all, let’s log into our Impactia account.

We’ll put in our username and password, and click Login:

Great, let’s make sure we have all the contacts we need. We’ll choose the Contacts tab:

Now we’ll click on the Senders button, and when then click New.

New address contact is for creating a contact with an email address.

We can create enrichments per specific contacts or email addresses by rule, or per users with email addresses that belong to a group.

New Domain Contact is for creating a domain contact such as “Impactia.com”.
We’ll be able to enrich every email that’s sent out from this domain or to this domain, by rule.

New Group is for creating a group for a contact or several contacts, such as “Sales department”.
We can enrich every email sent out from or to a specific group, by rule.

Don’t worry, we’ll get to the rules later.

Ok, now let’s review the different icons.

This yellow “play” icon means there is an enrichment rule to the contact person/group/domain.

This icon stands for a group that has an active enrichment rule applied.

This is a standard icon of a contact with an email address. If the yellow “play” icon is next to it, a rule is active for that contact.

Standard Icon of a domain contact. If the yellow “play” icon is next to it, a rule is active for that domain contact.

This, for example, is an icon that reads: a contact with an email address, that belongs to a group that has an active rule.

Not so complicated, is it?

Now, let’s move on to the templates.

We’ll click on the Templates tab:

We have our icons all sorted, so we know that each template that has an enrichment rule will have a yellow play icon next to it.

We can tell which rule belongs to which template by scrolling (no need to click) over the name of the template. The text that appears shows the rule that’s applied to this template.

If you want to create a new template, watch this video.

We’re doing great, now let’s move on to the glue that sticks it all together, the rules.

First, we’ll click on the Rules tab.

Now, we can create a new rule or get information on an existing one.

If you want to get specifics for an existing rule, click the line of the rule you want to edit. A toolbar appears on top of the list.

At the bottom of the page, you’ll see the details of this rule:

On top we have the name of the rule.

The next part has the details: What emails are being enriched (name of contact/domain/group)? Using which template or templates? When did this campaign start?

Now, we’ll create a new rule. Click New on the toolbar.

This is the window where we’ll connect our templates to contacts.

In this way, we can also edit an existing rule.

Don’t forget to click Save at the end.

We can test the rule with the Tools tab.

Just send yourself an email that’s supposed to be enriched if you did everything correctly, one that, so to speak, follows the rule, and you’ll immediately get a beautiful enriched mail.

See? We knew you’d get the hang of it in no time! Go, go, enrich emails!
